Pellegrino Kitchens Limited Lifetime Warranty
Pellegrino Kitchens (“Pellegrino Kitchens”) provides the following Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original residential purchaser of Pellegrino Kitchens cabinetry and vanities manufactured by Pellegrino Kitchens.
This Limited Lifetime Warranty (“Warranty”) applies to cabinetry and vanities purchased for residential use within the United States. This Warranty is subject to the terms, limitations, and exclusions described below.
Who Is Covered
This Warranty is provided to the original residential purchaser of Pellegrino Kitchens cabinetry and vanities.
For purposes of this Warranty, an original residential purchaser is an individual who purchases and installs the cabinetry or vanities in a dwelling that is owned and used by that person as a primary or secondary residence. Rental properties, commercial properties, and other non-residential applications are not covered unless expressly approved in writing by Pellegrino Kitchens.
Cabinetry purchased by a builder, contractor, developer, or other business for installation in a newly constructed or renovated residence may be covered when the cabinetry is installed for the initial owner or purchaser of that residence.
Except where required by applicable law, this Warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners of the property.
What Is Covered
Subject to the limitations and exclusions contained in this Warranty, Pellegrino Kitchens warrants that its cabinetry and vanities will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original residential purchaser.
This Warranty applies only when the cabinetry has been:
Properly transported and stored;
Properly installed;
Properly maintained and cared for;
Properly cleaned using appropriate cleaning methods and products; and
Used under normal residential conditions.
Proper installation and maintenance are conditions of this Warranty. Damage or defects resulting from improper installation, improper maintenance, improper cleaning, misuse, or failure to follow Pellegrino Kitchens' care and installation recommendations are not covered.
Warranty Period
The Warranty begins on the original date of purchase of the cabinetry or vanity.
The Limited Lifetime Warranty remains in effect for the lifetime of the original residential purchaser, subject to the terms, limitations, and exclusions contained in this Warranty.
What Is Not Covered
This Warranty does not cover cabinetry or vanities that have been:
Installed outdoors or used in an application not intended for residential cabinetry;
Improperly installed;
Improperly stored or transported;
Improperly maintained or cleaned;
Misused, abused, or neglected;
Modified, altered, or repaired without authorization from Pellegrino Kitchens;
Exposed to excessive moisture, standing water, flooding, or prolonged humidity;
Exposed to extreme temperatures or environmental conditions;
Damaged as a result of fire, flood, natural disaster, or other circumstances beyond Pellegrino Kitchens' reasonable control;
Subjected to normal wear and tear;
Damaged by improper use or care;
Damaged by countertops, appliances, plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware, or other products installed in conjunction with the cabinetry; or
Damaged as a result of conditions or circumstances unrelated to defects in materials or workmanship.
Natural characteristics of wood and wood products, including variations in grain, color, texture, and minor changes resulting from normal changes in temperature and humidity, are not considered defects.
Proper Installation and Maintenance
Pellegrino Kitchens cabinetry must be properly installed and maintained in accordance with applicable installation instructions and generally accepted cabinet installation practices.
The cabinetry should be kept in a reasonably controlled indoor environment. Excessive moisture, humidity, dryness, or temperature fluctuations can cause wood and wood-based components to expand, contract, warp, or otherwise change over time.
Such natural movement is not considered a defect in materials or workmanship when caused by environmental conditions.
Cabinetry should be cleaned using appropriate products and methods. Excessive water, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or other cleaning methods that damage the finish or cabinet components are not covered under this Warranty.
Pellegrino Kitchens' Remedy
If a defect in materials or workmanship occurs during the applicable Warranty period and the claim is determined to be covered by this Warranty, Pellegrino Kitchens, at its discretion, may:
Repair the defective cabinet, component, or part;
Replace the defective cabinet, component, or part; or
Provide a credit toward a comparable Pellegrino Kitchens product if repair or replacement is not commercially feasible.
The remedy selected by Pellegrino Kitchens will constitute the customer's sole and exclusive remedy for a covered defect.
Replacement products and components will be subject to Pellegrino Kitchens' current product offerings, styles, finishes, and construction methods.
If a product has been discontinued or is no longer available, Pellegrino Kitchens may provide a replacement of similar style and function based on current availability. Pellegrino Kitchens does not guarantee an exact match of color, finish, wood grain, style, or construction for discontinued products.
Labor, Installation, and Transportation
This Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective cabinetry, components, or parts.
The Warranty does not cover labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, transportation, delivery, disposal, or other costs associated with repairing or replacing a defective product.
Pellegrino Kitchens is not responsible for costs associated with removing a defective cabinet or installing a replacement cabinet.
Products Used With the Cabinetry
This Warranty applies only to cabinetry and vanities manufactured by Pellegrino Kitchens.
The Warranty does not cover countertops, appliances, sinks, plumbing fixtures, decorative hardware, lighting, flooring, or any other products installed or used in conjunction with Pellegrino Kitchens cabinetry.
Warranty Claims
To submit a Warranty claim, the customer should contact the authorized Pellegrino Kitchens dealer from whom the cabinetry was purchased.
Pellegrino Kitchens or its authorized dealer may require:
Proof of purchase;
The date of purchase;
Photographs of the claimed defect or damage;
A description of the issue;
Cabinet or order information; and
An inspection of the cabinetry when deemed necessary.
Pellegrino Kitchens reserves the right to inspect the cabinetry before determining whether a claim is covered under this Warranty.
A Warranty claim must be submitted within a reasonable period after the defect is discovered.
Proof of Purchase
A dated sales receipt, invoice, order confirmation, or other acceptable proof of purchase may be required to obtain benefits under this Warranty.
Limitation of Liability
The remedies provided in this Warranty are the sole and exclusive remedies available for a covered defect.
Pellegrino Kitchens' liability under this Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price actually paid for the defective cabinetry or vanity giving rise to the claim.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pellegrino Kitchens shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including costs associated with labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, transportation, loss of use, or other related expenses.
Some states do not allow certain limitations or exclusions of incidental or consequential damages, so some of these limitations may not apply to every customer.
Other Rights
This Warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights. The purchaser may also have additional rights under applicable state or federal law, which may vary depending on the jurisdiction.
Nothing in this Warranty is intended to exclude or limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Humidity and Environmental Conditions
Wood is a natural material and can expand and contract in response to changes in temperature and humidity.
Pellegrino Kitchens recommends maintaining a stable indoor environment with relative humidity generally between 35% and 50%.
Very dry or very humid conditions can cause wood components to expand, contract, warp, or develop changes in appearance. These changes are a natural characteristic of wood and are not considered defects in materials or workmanship when caused by environmental conditions.
Customers should take reasonable measures to maintain stable temperature and humidity levels within the home.
Damage resulting from excessive moisture, prolonged humidity, extreme dryness, standing water, flooding, or extreme temperature conditions is not covered under this Warranty.
Important Warranty Notice
Proper installation, maintenance, and care are required for this Limited Lifetime Warranty to remain applicable.
Pellegrino Kitchens manufactures cabinetry according to the specifications and information submitted with the order. The dealer and/or installer is responsible for verifying cabinet dimensions, specifications, quantities, installation requirements, and other order information before installation.
Pellegrino Kitchens is not responsible for defects, damage, or installation issues resulting from incorrect measurements, improper installation, unauthorized modifications, improper maintenance, or failure to follow applicable installation and care instructions.
